I am a mid-westerner that came to Colorado Springs in 1992 when we were stationed at Fort Carson. I completed my undergraduate work at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs with a bachelors in Psychology and Sociology. After graduation I worked a few avenues towards broadening my experience, including the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Wells Fargo Mortgage, and Chins Up Residential Facility for Children before starting off for Law School. While getting my Law Degree I was chosen for a 1 year Fellowship with the Douglas County District Court working towards Family Law Mediation and Family Crisis Avoidance and Resolution. Upon completion of my degree from the University of Denver College of Law, I worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Southern Colorado for nine years, 2 of which was specifically geared towards juveniles in the justice system.
The desire to change the focus of my practice came after seeing people close to me go through life changing events. I saw how divorce, adoption and other family life issues can have an excessive negative effect, when the proper advice and counsel is not available. I want to use my 16 years of Family Law, negotiation, litigation and contract experience to help you achieve what's best for you and your family now and down the road.
